Download rotation and absence notification

I'm going to be heading off to California for a vacation on Tuesday - I figured it might be fun to see more of California than Livermore, the Pebble Beach golf course, and the highway connecting the two. Therefore, I won't be able to update anything except the front page news, which I can do from afar. That will only happen if something really important goes down, though! I'll be back in a little over two weeks.

For now, it's time for the multimedia download rotation. The video is of the Frey version of the Roman poet Horace's philosophy "Carpe diem; memento mori" (or, as the Grass Roots put it, "sha-la-la-la-la-la, live for today.") Yep, it's Before the Ship Goes Down. This is off of a 1992 episode of Late Night with David Letterman. The MP3 is that obscure rocker Outlaw Man, from Berkeley, CA in 1973 - got to stick that California aspect in here somehow.

P.S. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Allnighter Extravaganza!

Once again it's time for updates! Got a couple things going on today, both related to the Allnighter.

First, the download rotation: the MP3 is a live version of the eponymous Allnighter, done at the Del Mar Fair in 1985. The video is of I Found Somebody from a 1985 Japanese tour special.

Speaking of the Japan tour... check out the 20+ photos from the Glenn Frey Japanese tourbook I nabbed off of Ebay! Not too shabby, eh?
