This week, I put up a video of the Eagles doing Smuggler's Blues at Christchurch (yow!) and an MP3 of Heartache Tonight from Tokyo 1979, when it was still a "new song." Those can be found on the Glenn Frey/Eagles Download page.

I also decided that since I have some room on my server, I can put up a collection of some of the best live stuff on the Live Treat Video Downloads page.

Multimedia Downloads and Updated Bio

I switched the downloads as usual. This week it's James Dean from the Kirshner Rock Hour in 1974 (get a load of the audience, folks. Talk about some period looks!). The .mp3 is Seven Bridges Road in London on June 9, 2001. I sure wish they would do that song again, even if it is challenging.

I also have been working a bit on the biography every now and then (I never was pleased with it), so it's expanded and updated somewhat. In fact, at this point it's about the equivalent of five pages long!

Ain't nothing like the real thing, baby

As you guys probably know by now, I love spoofing stuff, and for my latest wallpaper I spoofed those old vintage Coca-Cola ads. I dug up some of them and messed with them and created a Freyed version which can be found on the Glenn Frey/Eagles Wallpaper page. (Yeah, I know he did a commercial for Pepsi, not Coke, but in the photo I used he IS holding a Coke so it's all good).

Got Glenn Wallpaper. Someone stop me!

I have made yet another wallpaper. I figure this mania will end soon, so let's get the most out of it while it lasts. Anyway, the latest posits that you've "got milk," but have you Got Glenn?

Frey Sightings:

• The Belfast Telegraph asks here, "Are you Desperado for tickets?" Yeah, and for money to fly to Ireland, too!
• Not everyone got a chance to talk to Glenn at Pebble Beach, as this reporter expresses with dismay here (scroll down to the paragraph starting "Next was Glenn Frey..." four paragraphs above "Sunday.")
• Even famous British dart throwers can be dweeby Frey fans. Keith Deller fondly remembers reciting the lyrics of "Desperado" to Glenn Frey here (scroll all the way down to the paragraph beginning with "How good is Phil Taylor?" to read that sentence in his own words, but there's not much more to it)

Multimedia downloads - and - surprise! - wallpaper

Time to change the multimedia downloads. This week, it's an .mp3 of Glenn doing The One You Love at the Del Mar Fair in 1985. The video is of the Eagles doing New Kid in Town in Mountain View, California, in 1994. Now, the quality for that isn't the best, but Glenn is good in it and that's all I care about!

• You can catch segments on The Eagles on VH1's I Love the Seventies marathon on Saturday, March 18. The 1975 episode is on 3:00 EST and the 1977 episode is on two hours later at 5:00 EST.
